PIMSS provides the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) with a fully intergraded and GIS-enabled decision support system to strengthen development planning, coordination and decision-making across the full spectrum of Government. In addition it provides mobile data verification capability to perform project site survey and data validation for all kinds of development projects from aggriculture to civil infrastructure, land tenure and even governance.

PIMSS creates a comprehensive common operating picture of all Afghan National Development Strategy (ANDS) activities through a comprehensive Public Investment Portfolio Management System represented in a functional Geographic Information System presentation layer.

• Performs data federation from multiple sources
• Presents that information in a flexible, efficient and useable manner to key decision makers
• Provides portfolio management capability to GIRoA for the implementation of ANDS
• A GIS-enabled Project Register, Asset Register and Profile Data for all development actors (including contractor performance profiles)
